“Fair New Jersey”
This is a song I’ve been working on. New Jersey has never had a state song and this is my proposal to change that. It is currently set to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.

Should old sunbeams glow and shine
Upon thy golden shore
New Jersey fair, our hearts are thine
We love thee evermore
From oaks and streams to mountains high,
Thy beauty crowns the day
The violets bow, the maples sigh
In springtime’s gentle sway
Through Trenton’s fields where freedom won,
Our flag of buff and blue
Proclaims the Garden State, our home
Where dreams and hopes are true
From city streets to quiet sands,
Thy charm will never fade
New Jersey dear, we pledge out hearts
in love serenely laid
